Box Portraits

I usually don’t take the time to write thorough reviews, but my experience with Box Photography warrants it. I’ve used other studios and photographers in the past for various occasions. I would simply book an appointment online or via phone without necessarily meeting the photographer or seeing their studio prior to my session. I would just show up, have a few pictures done and hope I liked the results. That all changed when I called Box to have senior pictures done for my daughters. My daughters and I were immediately scheduled to come in and meet the photographer, Gary Box, before setting up the actual photo session. At first this seemed a bit inconvenient to me, but I soon realized it was an important and vital part of the whole process. During this initial meeting, Gary takes the time to present you with his capabilities and location options to ensure you have the best senior photos possible. But what impressed me more was his desire to create an experience that was tailored to my daughters as individuals. He took an active interest in them. He wanted to know their likes, dislikes, hobbies, interests, style, and personality. He made sure to take note of anything special that they wanted included in their pictures. He provided in depth guidance on how to prepare for the session, including what to avoid and what to bring with you. This initial meeting proved to be invaluable. During the actual photo session, Gary made my daughters feel comfortable and confident. He is very encouraging and complimentary. They were able to laugh and be themselves very early in the process. This helped get the most natural and authentic pictures I, as a parent, could have ever imagined. Gary has an artist’s eye. He creates amazing photos. He doesn’t skimp on equipment or quality and he stands behind his work. Needless to say, I recommend Box Photography and I have the most beautiful senior pictures on my wall at home to back up why.

I knew from our first introduction that Gary was the photographer for me! He made me feel comfortable from the start and his ideas for my Senior pictures were unique and exciting! My photo shoot was a blast and more than I could have asked for. Gary’s professionalism and instinct for amazing shots are unmatched.
